Founded in 2009, Invesco Mortgage Capital (NYSE: IVR) is organized as a REIT focused on investing in Agency residential mortgage-backed securities and Agency commercial mortgage-backed securities that can benefit from implicit or explicit U.S. government backing through Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, or Freddie Mac. We seek to generate income for distribution to our stockholders by investing in Agency assets using leverage, primarily in the form of repurchase agreements collateralized by our Agency MBS. Additionally, we will, at times, utilize the to-be-announced (TBA) forward settlement market for Agency MBS to finance our positions on an opportunistic basis. Our management team has a long track record and broad experience in managing residential and commercial mortgage-related assets through a variety of credit and interest rate environments and have demonstrated the ability to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns under different market conditions and cycles.
